UNILAG Students to Embark on Protest Over ASUU Strike

Students of the University of Lagos have said they will embark on their planned protest over the ongoing Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

The students plan to go on with the strike despite the heavy presence of security men in the school premises. The aggrieved students said the strike which started on June 1, 2013 is going on for too long and also want to use the protest as an opportunity to air their grievance over hiking price of school fees in Lagos State University (LASU) and also as a call for the reinstatement of Student Union Government (SUG) in Unilag.

We will bring you more updates as they unfold.
