Celebrity Facts: Things You Didn't Know About Tonto Dikeh

I don't need to introduce Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh to you as the Rivers State indigene has been able to carve a niche for herself as one of the best Nollywood has to offer. This is hardly disputable as she has taken home quite a number of awards as credit to her talent. She is currently struggling to be taken seriously as a musician albeit much controversy trailing this sojourn. Whether you love her or hate her, here are some things you may not know about her.

Tonto Dikeh is not just all about acting, the beautiful actress graduated from Rivers State University of Science and Technology where she studied Petroleum Engineering.

On a sad note is the fact that she lost her mother when she was at the tender age was three but that in no way hindered her from pursuing her dreams. Interestingly, Tonto's mum is mixed of Spanish and Ibo descent which explains her sexy looks.

Tonto in times past has revealed that her father, Chief Sunny Dikeh was against her choice of career as an actress but in 2011 she bought him a Jeep which is an obvious indication he has come to accept her as successful in her chosen field.

For those of you that thought the controversial actress just woke up one morning and decided to go into music, think again! Tonto Dikeh's first encounter wit music was way back in 2007 when she featured as a dancer in veteran actress Patience Ozokwor's music video for the song Iyo Ngwo Nwgo. I bet most of you didn't know that.

Apart from that she appeared in Kas' single Iyawo Wind in 2011. She must have found these experiences thrilling for her to try music and I must say Nigerians were too quick to judge her venture into music, never given her a proper chance.

Still on music, did you know that Miss Dikeh's debut singles Hi and Itz Ova which were released in 2012 became two of the most listened and downloaded songs under 48 hours for that year? They may have been considered huge failures but good publicity or bad publicity, it still had us talking about her.

Tonto Dikeh is not considered one of the most controversial celebrities for nothing. She shocked us all when we realized that as of October 2011, she had 57 tattoos. And just when we thought it couldn't get any more shocking, in 2013 she took to social media platform, Twitter to announce that she lost her virginity to ace music producer Don Jazzy an allegation he was quick to debunk.

On a good note, in case you don't know it, her middle name is Charity and she has been charitable. She once joined with another celeb to donate 1 million to someone with a health condition and in 2011 she awarded scholarships to exceptional children in Port Harcourt.

That's it readers, while you may know some of these things about Tonto Dikeh already, I bet there was just one thing in there you didn't know about her. Till another post of Celebrity Facts come your way again, keep reading Lasgidkid Blog.
