Yabatech Students Protest Assault of a Student

Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) is currently being held to a standstill as students of the institution are on a protest against the assault of a student by suspected cult members yesterday.



The fracas was said to have occurred during the Chelsea versus Basel football match. It is alleged that in the excitement of the match an argument had occurred between the said student whose name is yet to be revealed and some alleged cult members which resulted in his being beating. He received severe injuries with his face and head heavily bandaged.

The students this morning went on a school lock down, halting all activities in the school. No pictures have been allowed to be taken as at press time and entry and exit into the school is heavily restricted. Some school authorities have gone to the scene to try calm down the irate students.
